Every carving is one of a kind and heavy to ship, so we don't take returns. What we do instead is make sure you know what you're getting before you buy, and put it right if it arrives damaged.
All sales are final. The photos on each listing are of the actual carving you'll receive. If you want a better look at how our work comes out, the gallery shows it honestly, and we're glad to send more photos or answer questions before you order.
We pack carefully, but carriers drop things. If your carving shows up broken or damaged:
You can cancel any order for a full refund up until it ships. Email or call as soon as you can. Once it's with the carrier, the sale is final.
A commission starts with a deposit, which holds your place and covers the wood. If you cancel before carving has started, you get the deposit back. Once carving has started, the deposit isn't refundable. A piece made to your design can't be sold to someone else, so a finished commission is final too. The damage cover above applies the same way if we ship it to you.
Wood moves as it dries and as the seasons change. Small cracks along the grain, called checking, show up in nearly every carving sooner or later. They're part of a piece cut from a real log, they don't weaken it, and they aren't a defect or shipping damage. A carving that arrives broken, split apart, or with a piece snapped off is a different thing, and that's covered.
Refunds go back to the card or method you paid with. Card refunds usually take 5 to 10 business days to show on your statement.
